RYA Cruising Instructor Power

Description
The RYA Cruising Instructor (Power) qualification allows an experienced RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (Power) with a commercial endorsement to teach RYA Start Motor Cruising, Helmsman, and Day Skipper practical courses at an RYA Training Centre.
The course is a four-day practical training and assessment, including moderation on the final day, focusing on teaching methods, communication, and the RYA G158 logbook and system. Candidates must demonstrate advanced boat handling skills and be able to convey them effectively, with the ability to teach, debrief, and provide constructive feedback to students.
Content: Teaching methods, debriefing, contents and syllabus of G158 log book, RYA system, communication skills, practical teaching and navigation instruction.
Assessment: continual training and assessment by trainer and external moderation by another trainer on the last day.
Commercial use: Allows a Cruising Instructor to teach RYA Start Motor Cruising, Helmsman and Day Skipper practical courses at an RYA Training Centre.
