RYA Professional Practices & Responsibilities

A compulsory online course for new RYA Commercial Endorsement holders.

Description

How to take the RYA PPR training course.

  1. Purchase an online PPR course. Our team will then arrange your course login details (which can take up to 1 working day)
  2. Once completed you will be given a username and password. You will be prompted to change your password on your initial login.
  3. Login (large green button) and select the Professional Practices and Responsibilities course from the option under the main picture with the username and password given to you by iPowerboat.
  4. Commence PPR training.

The RYA PPR training course will take 6-8 hours and finishes with a two online assessments. However, there are mock assessment papers for you to use prior to the graded assessment to ensure you are ready. You have 3 attempts at each mock paper - we recommend making use of these!

Once you have successfully passed the graded assessment you can download your certificate and send it to the RYA with your commercial endorsement application. The pass mark is 80%.

Who needs to do the RYA PPR training course?

If you are going to sea for financial gain, as part of your job or with passengers, other than friends and family, you must have a commercial endorsement to your RYA qualifications. To achieve this a RYA training Centre can provide the course.
