Our Highfield First Aid at Work courses cover a comprehensive range of topics, ensuring participants are prepared for any situation.

Key Topics Include:

  • Assessing an emergency situation

  • Managing unresponsive casualties (with and without breathing)

  • Performing CPR and using an AED

  • Treating wounds, bleeding, and shock

  • Recognizing and responding to common workplace injuries, such as fractures, burns, and head injuries

  • Identifying symptoms of illnesses like strokes, heart attacks, and seizures

This qualification is designed to provide learners with knowledge of the basic health and safety practices essential in the workplace or onboard vessel as per legal obligations.

Highfield Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment The objective of the qualification is to prepare learners to be able to know the requirements of Risk assessment and the benefits in any environment. When teaching this course, we conduct practical risk assessments in small groups and write up our findings. If learners are coming from a maritime environment we will also ensure that we discuss the requirements of Risk assessment in the maritime environment.

Highfield Level 2 Award in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) This 5 hour course is suitable for attendees from land-based or maritime workplace environments. This qualification is aimed at those learners, who work in areas such as manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport and office environments, who may come into contact with hazardous substances.
