The aim is to give the basic training to the engineer officers who want to pursue a career on 'Small Vessels'. The objective of the course is to provide a basic theoretical knowledge and some practical hands on experience of diesel engines and systems. To make the course as practical as possible we use a Volvo and Yanmar engine which we strip down to their component parts and hopefully put back together again.
